A Port Charlotte man’s been arrested after calling CCSO to report a stolen firearm. Deputies arriving at Jimmy home learned that Whipple was a convicted felon barred from possessing firearms. At the home, they also saw several items including marijuana and a pill bottle with a drug for which Whipple had no prescription. He’s been charged with Possession of Firearms by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drugs without a Prescription. He is being held on $16,000 bond.
