The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a man died in an officer-involved shooting late on Monday night.

Officers went to a home in the 6000 block of McKinley Terrace for a report of shots fired.

According to police, 61-year-old Bradley Rundle had fired guns multiple times in the home with family members and kids inside- officials say he was also intoxicated during the incident.

After leaving the house, he raised his gun at deputies and fired once. Deputies then fired multiple times, killing him.
