CCSO detectives have charged a Deep Creek man on Monday with robbery after incident early Monday ouytside Boomeres Sports Bar in Port Charlotte. Deputies say they were called there by bar employees after a bleeding and barely conscious man was found in their parking lot. They say one of their regular customers, identified as 21-year old Robert Capote, had offered the man a ride home. A check of surveillance video showed the victim heading to an ATM, then walkling with Capote to a white car. Deputies say Capote attacked the man, took the money from the ATM and Drove away. Capote’s also charged with Violation of Probation, and for that charge he’s in the Charlotte County Jail without bail.
