A Punta Gorda man’s been arrested for strong armed robbery and motor vehicle theft. CCSO deputies say a neighbor asked 22-year old Delano Mathurin to help him clean the Regal Cinemas at Town Center Mall early yesterday. While helping Mathurin change a vacuum cleaner bag, the victim says Mathurin slugged him and started going through his pockets, taking his wallet and work keys then running. According to the Herald-Tribune the victim went after him, was allegedly tackled, and had his car keys and car taken. Deputies found Mathurin and the victims car at their apartment complex.
