IL Man Drowns at Warm Mineral Springs

An Illinois man died last week from drowning while at Warm Mineral Springs. North Port paramedics found 69-year-old Bronislaw Pawlikowski unresponsive. He reportedly had a history of health issues, and an autopsy was scheduled to determine the exact cause-of-death. The tourist destination was closed for a few hours while an investigation was conducted.

Police Looking for Hit-and-Run Suspect

The Floriday Highway Patrol is on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a Charlotte County hit-and-run incident early Saturday morning. The collision occurred around 1am on eastbound Kings Highway. The fleeing vehicle is described as an older-model Saturn with front-end damage. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Highway Patrol.
