Gov. Ron DeSantis announced free entry to all Florida state parks for Memorial Day weekend 2024, highlighting gems like Collier Seminole State Park and Lovers Key. Residents and visitors can enjoy parks for free from May 26-28. DeSantis noted Florida’s four gold medals from the National Parks and Recreation Association, emphasizing over $440 million invested since 2019 to ensure park enjoyment for families now and in the future. An additional $15 million will be allocated in the upcoming fiscal budget. Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez praised the initiative, encouraging Floridians to explore the outdoors and spend quality time with family.
