Sarasota Military Academy cadets and local volunteers placed wreaths on the graves at Sarasota National Cemetery over the weekend. The wreaths were placed against each headstone of men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces. S-M-A cadets were in uniform late Saturday morning to perform a solemn observance, honoring the sacrifices of those U.S. servicemen and women. A large crowd of observers gathered to pay their respect. The wreaths will remain on the graves until Saturday, January 12th.
