The highway patrol expects two women and a baby to survive yesterday’s crash in North Port.

It says it happened on I-75 northbound a couple miles shy of Toledo Blade Boulevard.

The patrol claims the car went off the shoulder and into thick vegetation.

Spokesman Kenneth Watson tells the Herald-Tribun that it took two tow trucks to get it out of the woods.

This cras happened on the stretch that continues widening from Sumter Boulevard to Harborview Drive in Port Charlotte.
