An Englewood man is free on $10,000 bond, charged with false imprisonment and domestic battery by strangulation after his girlfriend says he wouldn’t let her leave the house for days. 23-year old David Mason was arrested yesterday after the unidentified woman managed to escape from the home. WINK reports the woman told deputies “the defendant would threaten her with violence and hit her on several occasions over an extended period of time. The woman has a child, and she made a break for it when he finally allowed her to feed her daughter. The victim says she hopes others in a similar situation won’t be afraid to get help.
