CCSO’s Economic Crimes detectives arrested an Englewood woman today who’d reported that someone had stolen her checkbook December 26th and written a check at the Town Center Mall store. Authorities say it turns out 43-year old Angela Salanoa was the one at the Bealls Store who wrote the $991 check. She’s charged with Grand Theft, alleging that she intentionally deprived Bealls of $991 worth of merchandise by paying with the check that she then reported as stolen. She’ll be held on a $2,500 bond.
