A business wants to help the family of a fallen lawman.
Staff from Walmart has reached out to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. It has decided to hold a fundraiser for the family of Sgt. Michael Wilson.
Debbie Bowe in the sheriff’s office says management at the store on Kings Highway has donated food products and their parking lot for the distribution staff to hold a barbecue.
The menu includes pulled pork and hot dogs, and the meals include drink and chips. All proceeds go to the Sergeant Wilson trust.
The event runs on Sunday from eleven to five.
