Venice wants a leaseholder developer for airport property.

The city calls the 11 acres the circus arena property. This commercial zone sits in a special planning area called the Southern Gateway Corridor.

The city hopes to establish an attractive gateway that shows the city’s charm, provides amenities for the public, draws visitors, and supports the local economy.

A site visit takes place a week from Friday.

All parties must submit letters of interest by 2 o’clock May 15 to the city’s procurement manager. They can download these applications from www.demandstar.com. They can also pick up copies at the city’s purchasing department.
