A police sting in Venice has netted two instances of sale of alcohol to minors. The operation targeted eight Venice convenience stores and six were in compliance with state law banning the sale of booze to anyone under the age of 21. Two, however, were in violation. Venice officials say the
Circle K location on U- 41 Bypass and a Tarra Food Mart on Knight’s Trail Road were cited for underage alcohol sales. If convicted, their clerks could face up to sixty days in jail or five hundred dollar fines.
