Venice’s utilities department annually sponsors a poster contest promoting water conservation.

Fifth-graders at Venice Elementary and fourth- and fifth-graders from Epiphany Cathedral School learn about conservation and then draw posters to help spread the word.

The contest begins National Water Conservation Week.

Emily Weber and Paulina Granados Martinez have won from Venice Elementary. At Epiphany, Juliana Courville has won among the fourth-graders, and Alexis Myer among the fifth-graders.

The Venice Public Library has the winning posters on display through Friday, and then they move to city hall for the rest of the month.
