The future design and use of the city-owned Legacy Park, 395 E. Venice Ave., will be discussed at a public workshop at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Historic Venice Train Depot, 303 E. Venice Ave. The workshop will be held in the Freight Room.

Participants will learn about the proposed improvements and how they may coincide with the surrounding areas, including the Historic Venice Train Depot, Marina Boat Ramp, Venice Historical Society, The Legacy Trail, Venetian Waterway Trail, Hatchett Creek and other neighboring properties.

During the workshop, staff also will seek suggestions for future uses of the historic Manhattan Produce Building adjacent to the site. City and county staff members working on the project will be available to answer questions and receive comments.
