Venice Regional Bayfront Health opened its doors to the media yesterday to showcase progress in cleaning up from a late-May sewage spill. It was also an attempt to start repairing the damage to its public image caused by improper handling of the situation that resulted in 13 violations and a staffing shake-up. The hospital has until October 19 to complete the repairs or risk losing its Medicare license.
