Venice Police arrested David Wixom (date of birth: Nov. 21, 1979) Sept. 17 and charged him with two counts of possession of a firearm by a violent career criminal, two counts of possession of ammunition by a violent career criminal, trafficking stolen property, and possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis. Venice detectives pieced together information to verify an operation wherein a known burglary suspect, Bryce Holder, took stolen goods to Wixom for safe keeping or for exchange of other goods, such as firearms. As a result, numerous burglaries that took place in the city have been solved and property, including guns and jewelry, returned to the rightful owners. Wixom is currently in jail on a $55,000 bail.
