Detectives arrested two Sarasota men Friday after apparently finding a kilo of cocaine in their vehicle.
The sheriff’s office says someone tipped a delivery at a home on Jay Place, and that led to a surveillance operation.
It claims someone left a vehicle and ran toward the home, and then carried this package back to the car.
The car sped away, but the sheriff’s office says detectives stopped it a few minutes later.
It has identified the driver as 26-year-old Alan Acosta-Mata, but it has not identified the 17-year-old with him.
