A violent armed robbery of a sixteen-year-old boy in Sarasota County. Investigators say the boy was returning a bicycle to a friend’s house when he was confronted by two men in the 2700 block of Herwals Street. The boy reported one of the men jammed a pistol into his stomach and again into his mouth and demanded money. The boy didn’t have any so they stole his cell phone instead. Deputies later tracked the two down. Now, 17-year-old Travis Steward and 19-year-old Jonathan Walker are under arrest for robbery with a firearm and for battery.
