Emergency personnel responded to two vehicle collisions, one involving a pedestrian and the other a bicyclist, Tuesday afternoon in Sarasota. A Sarasota Police spokesperson tells Herald-Tribune that as a precaution, a man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital after running into the back of a truck in a parking lot near 12th Street and Beneva Road. None of the injuries were serious. In the second accident, a bicyclist was airlifted to an area hospital after being hit by a vehicle near Fruitville Road and Brink Avenue.
