Someone got a lot of free milk this weekend. Charlotte County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the theft of a semi-tractor and trailer Friday carrying $40,000 worth of dairy products. The rig was stolen from the Pilot Travel Center Friday night. Authorities used the truck-mounted GPS to locate the rig in Miami, where it was found undamaged, but without it’s cargo of milk. The tractor was a red 2001 Freightliner; the trailer was a 2005 Guardian refrigerator box trailer.
