Deputies will be looking for speeders the entire length of Loveland Boulevard in Port Charlotte and Wilmington Boulevard in Englewood. There’ll be stepped up traffic light enforcment at the intersections of US 41 and Easy Street and US 41 and Veterans Boulevard, both in Port Charlotte. The latest numbers from the State Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles, show Charlotte County’s had 20 vehicle deaths so far this year; compared to 11 ar this time one year ago.
