CCSO detectives have busted two teens on 34-charges tied to a string of “carhopping” burglaries in Port Charlotte. The suspects are identified as a 16-year old and 19-year old Derrick Crissinger. Authorities say Crissinger’s admitted that he and the 16-year old took a stroll through neighborhoods near them around 3a.m. yesterday and rummaged through unlocked cars. CCSO says among the stolen items are GPS units, cameras, a cellphone and charger. Each is charged with six counts each for Burglary to an Unoccupied Conveyance; six counts of Petit Theft; and one count each for Grand Theft.
