Following the city of Punta Gorda’s lead, Charlotte County commissioners this week threw their support behind a resolution urging local retailers to stop the sale and marketing of flavored tobacco that targets youth.
“It’s a growing problem,” said Commissioner Ken Doherty. “This is simply urging retailers to stop selling and marketing these products to children. It’s another tool in the toolbox.”
