This area includes Englewood and Venice.

The latest local forecast includes winds below tropical storm force, but a reasonable threat remains for winds between 39 and 57 miles per hour.

Property remains subject to limited effects of the wind, but failing to find adequate shelter may cause serious injuries.

As for storm surge, the potential exists for up to two feet above ground in places within surge prone areas through tomorrow morning.

The service right now gives a forecast that includes an additional six to 10 inches.

It also calls this a favorable situation for tornadoes.

As for coastal Charlotte, a flood advisory and a high surf advisory carry through to tomorrow morning.

Expect a high surf of four to eight feet.

Both counties have a high risk for rip currents through tomorrow morning.
