Authorities are investigating what they’re calling a suspicious fire this early this morning at a home in Punta Gorda. It was in the back bedroom of a home on Oil Well Road. NBC2 reports it’s the same location where investigators found a pot growing operation and 80 animals in horrific conditions last April. the State Fire marshal’s Office is looking into whether those incidents and what happened this morning are linked. No one was in the house when the fire started, and investigators say no one was supposed to be living there.
