The former Charlotte County resident accused of capital sexual battery against a child was, until recently, an assistant instructor at Edison State College Charlotte Campus in Punta Gorda. The North Port Sun reports college officials say 42-year old Quinton Handlon, was a part time instructional assistant of computer science for just over a year. He worked at Edison from the beginning of 2012 until he resigned Feb. 28. A college spokesperson says Handlon handled group and individual instructional support for specialized academics.
