A study shows Sarasota has the most speed traps in Florida.
This survey from CheapCarInsurance.Net indicates the city has 142 of them per 100,000 residents.
The site says it has analyzed “15 years of driver-reported national speed trap exchange data.”
Researchers have found most of the traps have law enforcement hiding by the side of the road or the bottom of a hill.
Vermont has the most speed traps in the country, and Alaska has the fewest.
