A Sarasota woman seriously injured last night when she was struck by a car after she reportedly ran onto a road. Officers say 21-year-old Bernadette Kenniff of Sarasota was standing on the south shoulder of Bee Ridge Road, when she suddenly ran out into traffic at Bee Ridge Road and Belmont in Sarasota. Kenniff was struck by a car driven by a car driven by 30-year-old Joshua Draken of Sarasota. He wasn’t hurt. Kenniff taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
