With the way the state budget looks at the moment, Charlotte County would come up short of its funding requests from the legislative session.

Lawmakers must have a blueprint out today in order to hold a final vote on Friday.

The budget would then go to the governor, and he could still make changes.

The Charlotte Sun reports that under the current budget, Charlotte County would receive $2.7 million for local projects. That falls short of the $3.25 million for this year.

The county would receive just over a million dollars for the restoration of Stump Pass. The justice center would get exactly a million for its expansion.

The East and West Spring Lake sewer project would have a half-million dollars coming to it. The cleanup of Sunshine Lake would receive $125,000.
