The state has new grading standards.
Education officials have set new scores that students must achieve in order to pass classes.
The Florida Board of Education has also approved a new formula that uses those test scores to grade schools, too.
The new grading system has surfaced because the state has replaced the old FCAT exams with the Florida Standards Assessments.
