A stabbing at a halfway house in Punta Gorda has landed one man in the hospital and his roommate in jail. Police say 39-year-old David Stupp, a resident of the Renaissance Manor halfway house in Warm Mineral Springs admitted stabbing his 60-year-old roommate, Angelo Olivero, as well as punching him in the face. No motive apparent for the attack, which landed Olivero at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg by air ambulance. The facilitate is for recovering substance abusers.
