Several people were injured in a three-vehicle accident Saturday at State Road 31 and Horseshoe Road. Troopers say the driver of a 2011 Hyundai was northbound on S.R. 31 and tried to make a U-turn to head south. That caused the driver of a 2000 Lincoln to swerve in an attempt to avoid hitting the Hyundai. The Lincoln spun clockwise and overturned. A third driver tried to stop his 1997 Ford to avoid striking the Lincoln but failed. Five people were taken to area hospitals.
