19-year old Jonathan Ranew’s in the Sarasota County Jail without bond. The Herald-Tribune reports he’s a registered sex offender who was reportedly caught fleeing a Venice home by the farther of a 15-year old girl last night. Deputies say the girl told them she and Ranew had been secretly seeing each other for about a year, and had had sex multiple times before. Ranew’s charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a victim 12 to 16 years old by an offender 18 or older, as well as violation of probation.
