Governor Scott is seeking to offer assistance to ma-and-pa businesses adversely affected by Hurricane Hermine [[ her-MEEN ]]. The governor announced yesterday that businesses in some 51 counties north of Lake Okeechobee and in the Panhandle are eligible for a newly-created, “Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program.” Businesses with between two and 100 employees are eligible for short-term and interest-free loans from the state to get back in business in the wake of the storm’s aftermath.
