Sarasota County Government is transporting red tide debris to the Sarasota County landfill. According to Sarasota County, they will continue to clean county-owned or maintained public beaches in accordance with our beach cleanup policy, and have collected more than 165 tons of red tide debris as of Aug. 25. The Sarasota County landfill is located at 4000 Knights Trail Road in Nokomis.
