The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office says 2-men have been busted for armed robbery after a drug deal early Saturday went bad. Deputies were called by two men who reported they’d been robbed at gunpoint by two men who were supposed to sell them prescription drugs. Deputies got a description of their car, and spotted them a short time later. They recovered a stolen 9mm handgun and $900 cash. The suspects are 17-year old Earnest Arnold of Sarasota, who’s charged with robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and 22-year old Robert Rutledge, also of Sarasota, charged with robbery with a firearm and driving with a revoked license.
