A man who molested a Sarasota County girl has been sentenced to 30 years in prison. The Herald-Tribune reports Eric Miranda-Lopez was convicted in October of lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim under 12. Prosecutors say Miranda-Lopez woke up the daughter of one of his girlfriend’s two girls and touched her inappropriately. The mother confronted Miranda-Lopez and ordered him to move out, then reported the abuse to authorities. When he’s released, Miranda-Lopez will be placed on lifetime probation with electronic monitoring.
