A Sarasota man died in a crash on I-75 southbond yesterday near Fort Myers.

The highway patrol says 79-year-old Robert Weinland switched lanes and then returned to his original one while dropping speed.

It believes the driver behind him could not stop in time.

This other vehicle hit Weinland’s vehicle from behind and hit two other cars.

Weinland died at the scene.

The News-Press calls this crash one of four involving road-related deaths in the regon since Monday evening.

It includes the crash that killed 19-year-old Sean Mulvey of North Port.

Mulvey drove his motorcycle into a car that turned in front of him on Toledo Blade Boulevard.
