The highway patrol continues investigating a collision from last night in Sarasota.
A 14-year-old went to Blake Medical Center with critical injuries after a car hit her.
The patrol says 21-one-year-old Stephen Rohner drove westbound on Bee Ridge Road as Dalia Anzures walked northbound on Beneva Road. It claims Anzures walked when the crosswalk indicator said not to walk, and that Rohner had a green light at the intersection.
The patrol says Rohner steered to the right to try to avoid Anzures, but hit her with the left front side of the vehicle.
