Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office
The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about recent scam calls. Several similar reports were made where a man called residents claiming to be law enforcement. The suspect called from 941-408-5958. He told the residents they had a warrant out for their arrest for not appearing for jury duty. The scammer said there were fines that had to be paid using a Money Pak card and to meet him at the sheriff’s office to give him the money. The residents then contacted the office. Please stay diligent and always report calls like this or similar scams to our office.
