The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office are still investigating Friday’s shooting of a 1-year old girl outside a Venice Day Care center.

Investigators are still trying to decide if criminal charges should be filed in the case of Grace Franzen. She was shot in the face by her 3-year old brother while the two were sitting in the family’s car outside Sonshine Learning Center. The Herald-Tribune reports their mother, 33-year old Rachael Franzen, was outside the car talking with several other parents when the shot was fired. The bullet hit baby girl in the lower part of her face. As of yesterday she was still at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg.
