In addition to being the Sarasota County Sheriff, Tom Knight has a new position, a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Prescription Drug Monitoring Program Foundation. Wendy Rose, with the Sheriff’s Office, says Sheriff will work to secure donations for the PDMP.
Rose says the number of drug overdose deaths have dropped significantly since the Sheriff’s office partnered with the medical profession and addicition recovery groups in 2009.
