The Atlanta Braves may have company at a proposed North Port spring training complex.
The Herald-Tribune reports three or four other teams have an interest in sharing the stadium and practice fields.
Martin Black from the West Villages says the complex would sit in the “town center” development on 100 to 150 acres near Route 41 and River Road.
If the West Villages can sign a second team to the complex, then potential state grants would jump from $20 million to $50 million.
The project’s price tag sits at $100 million.
