A Sarasota man is safe ashore after his experimental catamaran collapsed in Sarasota Bay. Wildlife Commission officers helped rescue Peter Bogasz after nearly an hour in the water or on remains of the collapsed boat. They say the craft got in trouble in the choppy waters of the bay near the Ringling Causeway Bridge. Officers were eventually able to secure the craft and tow it, along with its owner, to shore. Bogasz reportedly not injured in the incident.
