The Rose Hill East Apartments in Venice won’t be falling to the wrecking ball after all. According to the Herald-Tribune, the property owners had asked for a permit to tear the building down, but Architectural Review Board decided to ask the city’s historical resources director about the property, and when they discovered its significance, they changed their minds and hired and architect and contractor to come in and save the building. A Ritz Construction spokesperson says they expect the restoration to be done very soon.
