The Red Tide that’s lingered off Sun Coast beaches for over two weeks is still there, although no dead fish have been washed ashore for the last few days. That’s likely due to high surf conditions and strong on-shore wind. Still, the scent of the Red Tide algae is still being reported by residents of Don Pedro Island and Manasota Key. Still, the smell is reportedly mush less than it was last week. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission says extends along the shore from southern Sarasota County south to Lee County.
