FWC reports signs of red tide along several counties in the region.
It indicates very low concentrations in five samples collected in and offshore of Sarasota and Manatee counties.
The Fish and Wildlife Research Institute says people have reported respiratory irritation from Indian Shores, Manasota, and Englewood beaches.
WFLA-TV reports they have also shown this problem along Treasure Island and Indian Rocks Beach, as well as along Venice and Lighthouse Beach.
