Fish & Wildlife has announced the dates for red snapper fishing this year.
Officials have approved harvesting off the coast starting the first weekend of May.
It continues every weekend until Memorial Day.
Additionally, the commission says daily game fishing of snappers happens from Memorial Day until July 10, and after Fridays through Sunday from Labor Day until October.
