Walmart in Punta Gorda shut down for three hours last night.
The sheriff’s office says someone at the store received a bomb threat over the phone right before 11 o’clock.
Law enforcement searched the building and the immediate area after it evacuated.
Customers and staff went back inside just before 2 o’clock this morning.
